Trim Levels
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator comes in several trim levels, including Sport, Sport S, Overland, North Edition, Rubicon, and Mojave. All models also have a 5-foot cargo bed, which can come with various features like a spray-in bedliner and roll-up cover. Each trim has unique exterior differences, particularly when it comes to the wheels. The Sport trim has 17-inch by 7.5-inch black steel styled wheels, the Sport S has 17-inch by 7.5-inch tech silver aluminum wheels, and the Overland, North Edition, and Rubicon each have 18-inch by 7.5 inch granite crystal aluminum wheels.
Engine
All Jeep Gladiator trims feature a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that generates 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This is the same engine you can find in the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Grand Cherokee. Overall, it's great for a variety of road or terrain conditions and for hauling or towing cargo. The engine also has Engine Stop-Start technology that turns off the engine when the vehicle is idle and restarts your engine when you press the clutch. This saves on fuel consumption and emissions.
Performance
The Gladiator comes with a six-speed manual transmission, though, you can opt for an eight-speed automatic transmission if that's what you prefer. If off-roading is your thing, this vehicle surely delivers. The vehicle's wheels allow for good traction to keep your truck moving regardless of the terrain. The Gladiator can also get you through small bodies of water, like creeks and streams, up to 30-inches deep. The Rubicon model even gives you a ground clearance of up to 11.1 inches.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator can also tow up to 7,650 pounds when properly equipped. The base model of the lineup lets you haul up to 4,000 pounds. In terms of the cargo bed, it can load from 1,105 to 1,700 pounds.
Interior
The Gladiator also comes with a variety of entertainment features and cargo space within the cabin to store your various belongings. You also get 41.2 inches of legroom and 42.8 inches of front headroom. When it comes to entertainment, each model has a standard touchscreen, but when you get the 7-inch and 8.4-inch displays, you also get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Both let you connect your smartphone to your vehicle and give you access to several applications. Apple CarPlay even gives you access to the voice-activated Siri for added convenience.
Safety Features
You can also equip your 2020 Jeep Gladiator with several features to keep you and your passengers safe on the road. Available features include adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. Blind-spot monitoring helps you detect nearby vehicles that may be in your blind spot zones, and the rear park assist system helps detect obstacles behind you. These safety features can give you added confidence on the road, no matter your destination.
