2022 RAM 1500

The 2022 Ram 1500 lineup includes six trims, the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, or Limited. Owners can choose from a quad or crew cab, and a short or long box. Standard exterior features include heated power mirrors, automatic headlights, entry lights, a capless fuel filler, acoustic front glass, and a shark-fin antenna. High-end models also include power-folding mirrors, fog lights, LED headlights and taillights, automatic high beams, box lighting, rear bumper step pads, rain-sensitive wipers, power running boards, and a spray-in bed liner.

Monotone exterior paint colors include Diamond Black, Granite Crystal, Billet Silver, Patriot Blue, Delmonico Red, Flame Red, Bright White, and Ivory White. The Limited Longhorn and Rebel are also available with duo-tone exterior paint.

A 3.6-liter V-6 engine is standard on the Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, and Limited Longhorn. The Limited has a 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI engine. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Owners can also choose from two optional engines. A 395-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI eTorque engine produces 410 pound-feet of torque. The most powerful engine in the lineup is a 260-horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 Turbo Diesel that produces a whopping 480 pound-feet of torque.

High-end models include a heavy-duty engine cooling system, active noise-control system, heavy-duty shock absorbers, and dual rear-exhaust. The off-road Rebel also includes tow hooks and protective skid plates on the fuel tank, front suspension, and steering gear. Rear-wheel drive is standard with available four-wheel drive.

The Ram 1500's towing capacity varies with engine choice. The 5.7-liter HEMI provides the lineup's maximum towing capacity of 12,750 pounds. Payload capacity varies from 1,220 for the eTorque engine to 2,300 pounds for the 3.6-liter V-6.

A Class III bumper hitch is standard on the Tradesman and Big Horn. The Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited trims include a Class IV receiver hitch. A seven-pin wiring harness is standard on all models. All trims also include electronic roll mitigation, stability control, hill-start assist, and traction control.

The interior of the Ram 1500 is spacious and comfortable. All models include Ram's new air filtration system that removes 95% of dust, aerosols, and smoke from the cabin. The Limited Longhorn and Limited include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front-row seats, heated second-row seats, and a heated steering wheel. Crew cab models include a 60/40 folding rear seat.

All Ram 1500 trims include Bluetooth audio streaming, voice command, touchscreen display, and USB ports. High-end models also include a larger touchscreen, satellite radio, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, HD radio, wireless charging pad, and an integrated center stack radio.

Standard safety features for all models include a suite of advanced air bags, a rearview camera, brake assist, rain brake support, and panic alarm. High-end trims also include full-speed forward-collision mitigation, blind-spot detection, front and rear park assist with stop, and remote-proximity keyless entry.
