The safety of drivers and passengers is extremely important to Chrysler. This is why they decided to make more safety systems standard in their vehicles, including the Pacifica. No matter which new vehicle you have, you can feel confident that it has the technology to keep you safe under any driving conditions. Take a look at some of the appealing safety features available on the latest Chrysler models.

  1. Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking

The full-speed forward-collision warning system provides the driver with an audio and visual warning if you are about to have a frontal collision, and if needed, it will automatically apply the brakes. The active braking will either keep you from hitting the vehicle in front of you or significantly decrease the impact. The system is also capable of bringing the car to a complete stop.

  1. Adaptive Cruise Control

Chrysler’s adaptive cruise control system uses sensors to help you keep a set distance from the car in front of you. This system will work when traveling at low speeds, works at highway speeds, and the stop-and-go function allows it to keep working even when you are driving in stop-and-go traffic. It will bring your Chrysler vehicle to stop if the car in front of you stops and get you going again when traffic starts moving.

  1. LaneSense Lane Departure Warning With Lane Keep Assist

Chrysler’s LaneSense Lane Departure Warning system uses sensors to measure your position within the lane boundaries. If it detects any drifting out of the detected lane, it will send the driver an audible alert so they can make the correction. If the driver does not re-center the vehicle, the lane-keep assist feature kicks in and helps keep the vehicle in its lane.

  1. Blind Spot Monitoring With Rear Cross Path Detection

The blind-spot monitoring system uses a set of sensors to detect vehicles approaching the driver’s blind spot, and it will provide an alert to let the driver know to stay in their lane. Rear-cross path detection is an additional warning that senses when vehicles or objects cross the vehicle’s path when backing up.

  1. Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking

The Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking system works with the vehicle’s radar system, the forward cameras, and the braking system. It will provide a visual and audible alert if it detects pedestrians in your path and will apply the brakes to prevent you from hitting the pedestrian if you don’t do it in time.

  1. FrontSense Front Park Assist System

The front parking assist system provides visual and audio alerts to the driver to let them know the distance between the front of the vehicle and a detected obstacle when moving forward. If needed, the system applies the brakes and then releases them when it is safe.

These are some of the appealing safety features that either come standard or are available with Chrysler vehicles. Each one has the technology to help keep everyone in a Chrysler safe and to help the driver stay focused and alert.
